Berlín
When we were about to start rehearsing Berlin with the actress Carmen Rodríguez, the director, Alberto Sala, suggested me to modify some fragments, lest… The piece is a monologue that puts on stage Eva Braun, Adolf Hitler’s wife, in her last hours in the bunker where she died (or committed suicide, or was assassinated…). The character is treated in a very sensitive way, showing a woman in love and afraid, without going into clichés; maybe that’s where Alberto’s prevention came from. The original version is written in Valencian, and the first edition was also published with a Spanish translation that I was in charge of. Such version was the basis, with many additions and modifications, of the text that I rewrote in 2019 and that was finally premiered on May 26 of that year at the Sala Carolina in Valencia, produced by GH Records, directed by Lluís Fornés, and performed by Laura Salido.
