La tumba de Leónidas
Alma will be my favorite book, perhaps because of my youth, but La tumba de Leónidas is undoubtedly the most beautiful, and the one in which I am and recognize myself the most. It is not a historical novel, but a mixture of diary, of historical revisitation, of travel book about the sacrifice of Leonidas in Thermopylae… Lluís X. Álvarez was kind enough to mention it in his column “Europa Nova” in La Voz de Asturias, and a couple of blogs (Álvaro Kröger’s and the Portuguese Esparta) echoed it on the net. The press also treated it quite well: the Alfa y Omega supplement of ABC recommended it, and the newspapers El Mundo and Levante-EMV interviewed me. It also coincided (and this was pure coincidence) with the release of the movie 300. However, fortunately, it has nothing to do with it.
