Versos a Scherezada
Adelino Gómez Latorre (Caminreal, 1913 – Valencia, 1975) was a name of reference in the culture of Teruel (southern Aragon) in the first third of the last century for his enormous cultural work: philatelist, republican and autonomist politician, storyteller, collaborator in the press… After the spanish Civil War (1936-1939), he worked as a bank clerk and began his most popular facet, that of author of costumbrist works, such as Aires del Jiloca or Gentes de mi tierra, as well as pieces for the radio or the stage collected in Escenas baturras and Nuevas escenas baturras. The booklet that I reissued in 2018, Versos a Scherezada, is a curious volume in the production of Gómez Latorre. Far from the Costumbrismo and the Castilian-Aragonese dialect of the aforementioned works, it is a collection of small love poems that serve to offer another perspective of the polygraph author.
